Over the past year, our experienced and dedicated staff of scouts have covered a lot of high school games within the state and abroad, and, as a result, we have released our NEW Arizona Preps Player Rankings for girls basketball in the state of Arizona. We have compiled our list of player rankings for each class of high school prospects in the state - 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Classes. These player rankings will be released on each of our Arizona Preps' social media outlets, and also sent out to hundreds of women college basketball programs across the country.

We continue our release of our Spring Player Rankings (Rankings will be updated during the Summer and the Fall seasons) with our Individual Player Rankings for the 2023 Class.

This sophomore class is also very loaded with some top-rated college prospects for college programs. Our NEW Player Rankings for the 2023 Class are also led by a dynamic pair of college prospects that are among two of the hottest prospects in America - Xavier Prep's 6-foot-1 stud sophomore wing Mia Davis and Arizona Elite 6-foot athletic sophomore forward Mya Verse. These two prospects are both high-major Division-I prospects and have very bright futures in the state and further.

Mia Davis (pictured left) is a highly skilled young prospect that emerged as an elite prospect early on in her development, and is currently rated among the nation's elite 2023 prospects by ESPN.

Davis is the daughter of former Arizona basketball star guard Prileu Davis who destroyed the ACCAC while playing for Phoenix College, and landed a big-time college basketball scholarship to Louisville. She is a very skilled guard prospect that can play anywhere on the floor, and is a nightmare match-up for opposing defenders. She can score the basketball with excellent range on her shot, and also has a very good mid-range game that allows her to operate inside of the three-point arc. Very crafty and skilled, Davis has an excellent handle of the basketball and keeps defenders on their toes with her ability to stop and go on a dime, and make plays for herself and her teammates. She makes players around her better, which is absolutely rare for a prospect her age. She is a well-rounded fundamentally sound performer with a lot in her offensive bag.

Davis will soon begin to generate loads of Division-I offers for himself, as college programs will begin to lineup for her. Davis is currently rated as the #13 overall prospect in America's 2023 Class by ESPN - an absolute honor for such a young Arizona basketball prospect. Over time, this young prospect will change the game and help take Arizona girl's basketball in the state to another level.

Another prospect that has already taken the Arizona game to another level is Arizona Elite 6-foot sophomore forward Mya Verse. One of the most athletic girls prospects that the state has ever seen, Verse took social media by storm earlier this year when she dunked a basketball. Verse is a tremendous talent with excellent physical size and strength at a very young age, and a good overall skill level that is still developing and makes her tough to defend. She can overpower her defenders with her aggression and ability to finish around the basket. She has a good mid-range shot and is still developing her range and consistency on her perimeter shot. She is a very strong rebounder and runs the floor hard. Competes hard. Verse has excellent potential for the future.

Verse is also a high-major Division-I prospect that will stay at the top of the rankings for this class throughout her high school career, and should begin to start receiving loads of Division-I offers for herself. Verse will be able to play at any level of college in the future, like Davis, and will take girls basketball in the state to even higher heights.

Here are our complete Player Rankings for the 2023 Class of girls prospects in the state of Arizona, which is also a very loaded class of prospects . . .

An individual prospect can improve or drop in our Player Rankings, as a result of strong or poor game performances.
