In a historic turn of events, Arizona high school basketball is now firmly on the national map, thanks to an exceptional 2026 class. For the first time, the state boasts a remarkable number of prospects ranked among the ESPN Top 100 - reflecting the growth and development of the sport in the region.
Leading the charge is St. Mary's High School's 6-foot-11 rising senior Cameron Williams, who made an impressive leap from #31 to #7 in the ESPN national rankings, after a stellar spring performance. Williams made the biggest jump of any Arizona prospect after his dominant spring, and now he is receiving major blue-blood college recruitment.
Not far behind is Dream City Christian Prep's dynamic 6-foot-4 rising senior guard Ikenna Alozie, an ultra-athletic performer with NBA-level athleticism. Alozie checked in at the #16 spot nationally. Alozie is a tremendous talent that continues to soar, and has held his high national ranking for some time now.
Millennium High School's gifted 6-foot-6 senior guard Cameron Holmes received a #23 national ranking. The do-it-all star guard is set to have a huge senior season, and he is also coming off a terrific spring and June recruitng period, and is set to have a big July performance at the Peach Jam with a loaded AZ Unity program.
Meanwhile, Bella Vista Prep's 5-foot-11 senior point guard Miles Sadler (pictured) has climbed the ranks to #27 nationally - a significant jump from previously being ranked outside the Top 50. Sadler is among the very best point guards in the country, and his hard work and consistent strong performances proved very valuable in his recent ranking. Sadler has become one of the hottest guards in the country as of late, receiving numerous new offers for himself.
Adding even more depth to Arizona’s presence in the NEW ESPN Top 100 is AZ Compass Prep's 6-foot-5 senior Kaden House, who is ranked #40, while his brother, 6-foot-3 senior guard Kalek House, rounded out the list at #91. Both prospects could be ranked higher, especially Kalek, who I believe is a Top 50 prospect nationally.
This unprecedented representation in the national rankings is a testament to the hard work and dedication of players, coaches, and the entire Arizona basketball community. It has taken years for Arizona to gain this level of respect on the national stage, and this milestone marks a significant step forward. The success of these young athletes is not just a personal achievement, but a collective victory for Arizona basketball. With these rising stars leading the way, the future looks incredibly bright for the state’s basketball scene - prep or high school.
Notes: Basha High School's gifted 2026 prospect, 5-foot-11 senior guard Mason Magee is well worthy of a Top 100 national ranking, and is a player that was missed on this list by ESPN. Magee is a tremendous athletic talent that is worthy of a Top 100 national ranking at minimum. Magee suffered a late season injury last year, but now has returned to form. A strong performance this July by Magee could help him to make a nice introduction in the next rankings by ESPN.
