Tall springy stretch-4 man that can run the floor very well. Very athletic and can hit his open shots from the perimeter. Pretty good footwork, was impressed how fundamental he was. He has a good feel for the ball. It seemed if he didn't get the rebound, he was very close to getting it. Not a good ball handler, but if he had the ball on the perimeter he has 2-3 strong dribbles to get to the rim without doing a move. Always looks ahead for an outlet pass then sprints to the rim for a follow up. This kid has a high motor and plays really hard. He has potential to be a great player for a D1 player in the future.
Dalen Terry 6-5 SOPH Corona Del Sol HS - 2020 Class
Long, skilled prospect that is capable of playing point guard, and who I think will be playing at a high-major division-I program. He is a 6-5 lead guard who is a sophomore, that shows extreme potential on the court. He has a beautiful jump shot, great body control and footwork. He is a poised and skilled guard who can win. What I really like about this kid's game is the approach he brings to the game. He's very tuned in and focused, which is hard to ignore. He challenges every player on the court physically and mentally. He is not overly athletic yet, but I can see him developing more athleticism as his young body develops over the years. He has a really high basketball IQ that allows him to pick out the weak spots of the defense.
Evan Skeoch 6-6 SOPH Perry HS - 2020 Class
Tall, athletic wing that brings diversity to the court. He has a good feel for the game. He's good with his change of speed with the ability to go full speed one direction, then able to control his body with a clean euro step or between the legs going a different direction. He can finish in traffic - finishing at the basket. He is a very good ball handler with the ability to come down the court, do one or two hard moves for a pull-up jumper or attacking the rim to finish at the basket. He shows potential to be a good passer to create for his teammates. He has a good jump shot. He can hit the mid-range and 3-ball. He played well this weekend, showing good versatility.
Chance Garland 6-3 SOPH Sunnyslope HS - 2020 Class
One of the most impressive players at the showcase. He's a well-rounded player that is very athletic, can score, create and pass. He has a high basketball IQ, can finish around the rim and also communicate and lead. This kid has serious potential to play at a high level. During the showcase, Chance showed his ability to really change speed with good footwork. He utilizes jab steps, shot fakes and retreat dribbles, once he sees there is nowhere to go. This is a kid that challenges everyone on the court, even defensively - attempting to be a rim protector, regardless of the outcome. He can improve on his shot to be more consistent, but he can hit shots. His strengths are getting to the rim and finishing around the rim. He is a great team player.
Rauishun Wilson 5-8 FR Vista Grande HS - 2021 Class
A very high energy player that is very athletic. He was by far the strongest kid in this event and can really play. He plays with such confidence and aggression, which reminds me of Russell Westbrook (NBA). A very strong, very athletic, high energy player that is also a great passer and a very good defender. He can finish very well with a layup or dunk, even at his size. I seen him shoot a couple jump shots. He's not a knock-down shooter, so he will have to improve in that area, but with all his other attributes this kid is a monster. He went to guard the best player on the court each game, then went at them. He's a good team player - unselfish but aggressive.
Zay Freeney 6-0 FR South Mountain HS - 2021 Class
A very quick guard with good balance who can handle the ball really well. He has a good jump shot. 70% of the time, he beat his man to the basket. 50% of that he found a player or got his shot off. He has great court vision, and it looks like he can see the play happening before the play even happens. He comes off of the screen and freezes his defender, then finds the open player after his hesitation. Soon as he gets the ball, he always looks ahead to outlet the pass. He has really good footwork, he stays low and balanced the entire time. This kid has a skillset that makes himself and his team better for sure. In my opinion, he will be able to play division-I basketball after his high school career.
Madior Seye 6-9 SOPH Bella Vista Prep - 2020 Class
A 6-9 post player that can run the floor very well. He is a raw talent, but has some attributes to evolve into a really talented player over time. He is very long and coordinated. He has active hands, which makes it difficult for the offensive player to score on him. He is a decent ball handler. If trained and developed the right way, he could become a big that can be a stretch 4-man, based on his speed and ability to handle the basketball. He can be a difficult match-up for bigs that aren't good guarding the perimeter. He makes himself known in the post demanding the ball. He has good footwork, using pump-fakes and step throughs frequently to get his shot off. He is also capable of making free-throws.
Kevin Kobara 6-2 FR Peoria HS - 2021 Class
A skilled player that's not really fast, but he seems to have a specific spot that he tries to get to. He has good ball control and can shoot the ball well. Not really athletic or a crazy ball handler, but just a solid player. The type of player he reminds me of, as a result of his body type and versatility, is Paul Pierce (NBA). He needs to improve defensively. His feet aren't fast, but he is coordinated. Each time he came down the court he did a strong move, while keeping his head up to create for his teammate or look for help defensively. He has a good basketball IQ and sees the floor very well. He also always dribbles with his head up, which is very important.
