Rising 5-foot-10 freshman phenom Rayah Craig now prepares to enter the Arizona high school ranks, and is ready to make a name for herself amongst the state's top girls prospects.  The budding, young prospect became a phenom this spring and summer after competing at the 17 & Under level and performing at a high level, and in a consistent manner.

Craig will be headed to Valley Vista High School this fall, where she will begin her high school varsity basketball career, while playing for fiery head coach Rachel Matakas.  Matakas and her talented staff have built one of the top rising girl's basketball programs in the state over a period of time, and the addition of Craig and the development of fellow 6-foot-2 sophomore phenom  Kiara Edwards makes Valley Vista HS a premier girl's program for the future.

Craig is the relative of former NFL superstar Roger Craig, so the athletic bloodlines are proven.  Craig proved her superior athleticism this club season, as she played significant minutes and was impressive against the nation's top girls prospects.

As a result of Craig's performance, she is now being sought after early by the nation's elite college basketball programs.  Such college programs as Stanford, UCONN and Tennessee have already expressed interest in Craig, and will look to recruit her closely throughout her high school career.  Stanford already looks to be the early leader for Craig, and indications are that she will become a superior basketball prospect in the country over time, so her college recruitment could become unique.

Craig has very good size already and plays like a guard offensively, while having the ability to rebound and defend bigger players on the floor.  She is a deadly shooter with range, and has a nice mid-range game, which allows her to make plays at a high level for herself.  She competes hard on both ends of the floor and has the potential to become a large wing prospect with a superb, overall skill level over time.  She is also excellent in transition and is a mismatch for opposing teams.

Look for Craig to emerge as one of the state's elite overall prospects this high school season - beginning what will be a storied high school basketball career.
