Arizona's 2016 class of prospects is loaded with talented performers that are making a name for themselves during this July evaluation period.  The class looks to be comparable to the previous superb 2014 class.  While this class is not quite as loaded, it will be very close, as many of the prospects are gaining attention from college coaches a year early.

One prospect that has emerged this summer is Pinnacle High School's 6-foot-8 rising junior combo-forward Nick Mains.  While Mains was not a heralded prospect this past season for the Pinnacle HS varsity team, next season will be much different for this yougn man, as he has grown up this summer a great deal.  Mains' performance thus far this summer has been terrific, and he has proven to be one of the better prospects in this loaded 2016 class.

Mains is a talented and skilled forward prospect with very good size and length.  He has a nice overall feel for the game, and also has the size and skill level to play both forward positions on the floor.  He is a good shooter with range on his shot and also has good footwork in the post - able to score with either hand.  At 6-8 in heigth, Mains stands out on the floor and moves like a guard.  While he still needs to mature physically a great deal, he has serious upside as a player and nice potential for the future.

Mains still needs to get much stronger and add some serious size to his thin frame to reach his full potential as a player.  He will struggle against stronger more physical players at this point, but, over time, physical maturity should benefit him nicely.

Mains has played very well this summer with his club program, Arizona Magic 16U-Passion and played well in the Pangos Sweet 16 (CA), and also the Great American Shootout in Dallas, Texas this weekend.

Look for Mains to developinto one of the better prospects in the 2016 class over the next year - a nice mid-major prospect that should develop over time with a lot of continued hard work.
