Arizona Lutheran Academy's 6-foot-1 rising senior guard Cash Hill, from the moment he stepped onto the varsity court, has shown a natural ability to score. Whether it was knocking down shots from deep, attacking the basket or making plays for his teammates, Cash has become one of the most dangerous offensive players in the 2A Conference.
Cash Hill is a combo-guard who has grown better as each season has gone by - having elite level varsity experience by playing varsity since his freshman season, and getting good playing time as a knockdown shooter on a very talented Arizona Lutheran Final 4 team. During his sophomore season, he became the second leading scorer of a Final 4 Arizona Lutheran team - averaging 14.2 points per game. He also broke the school record in steals, piling up 11 steals in one game.
Cash really had a breakout season his junior season - averaging 19.6 points per game and earning himself 2A Valley Region Offensive Player of the Year, and 2A First Team All-Conference, while also scoring (93) threes this season, and being ranked among the top players in Arizona for three pointers made. Cash also broke the points record at Arizona Lutheran and the three-point record with 47 points and (10) threes in only his junior year - putting himself in the record books.
Cash Hill is a combo-guard who can shoot the three very well, can get to the rim with great speed, and can score from the mid range and handle the ball well up the floor. What I love about Cash is no matter if he is having a good shooting day or a bad shooting day, his hustle and determination to win stays the same. He dives on the floor any chance he gets, jumps in passing lanes for steals, and sprints back on defense. Cash does a very good job of playing both sides of the ball and being both the main scorer for his team and primary defender guarding the best player on the other team.
I myself have played with Cash my junior and senior year, and to see him grow as a player, get stronger and get better really is amazing. He is a great teammate to have, and he is very encouraging and leads by example with his actions on both sides of the floor.
Cash is a player to really watch for this summer and going into his senior year, as this kid can make an impact on almost any team he plays on. Whether it is scoring, hustling, or playing defense, he is an all-around player that is set to have a great summer and a great season.
