Sunnyslope High School is entering the 2025–26 season with high expectations, and a big reason for that is the emergence of skilled and versatile 6-foot-7 senior forward Nash Parmley, who is coming off a breakout spring and summer with the highly respected Phoenix Runnin’ Rebels club program. Parmley was impressive all spring and summer, and also helped lead the Rebels to a big tournament championship in July. As a result, Parmley is ready for a breakout season for a very loaded Sunnyslope ballclub, that will have an excellent chance this season to win the Open Division State Championship.

Parmley is a skilled and athletic forward that can score inside and out, and has developed into one of the top sleeper prospects in Arizona’s 2026 class. His length, shooting ability, and improved athleticism have all contributed to his rise this off-season. Known for his ability to stretch the floor with a consistent shooting stroke with range, Parmley is also an effective slasher who finishes plays strong around the rim.

What makes Parmley particularly intriguing is his versatility. At 6-foot-7, he can guard multiple positions on the court, rebound in traffic, and ignite the fast break. He has good footwork, a high basketball IQ, and plays with great effort on both ends of the floor. His improvement as a ball handler and his ability to knock down shots off the dribble have turned him into a real weapon for terrific Head Coach Ray Portela and his staff.

Over the spring and summer, Parmley emerged as one of the top performers for the Runnin’ Rebels, helping the program earn wins on the club circuit and gaining the attention of college programs in the process. With a strong senior season ahead, Parmley is now looking to draw much more recruiting interest for himself, and prove he’s one of the top unsigned senior prospects in the state.

He will now return to a very talented Sunnyslope team that is absolutely loaded from top to bottom this season, and is expected to be one of the premier teams in Arizona this high school season - my current favorite to win this year's Open Division State Championship. With Parmley’s continued development and newfound confidence, he will be big for the Vikings during his senior season.

I will continue to watch Parmley and his Sunnyslope teammates this fall and during the season, as Parmley looks to breakout. I will also continue to follow his college recruitment closely this season, as he is well deserving of serious college recruitment.
