Arizona Preps is very proud to announce that this year's 26th Annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase just got much better, as we are excited to have Chris Rivers RAPP (Conversations In Sports, Leadership and Self Development) as an integral part of this year's event. Former Adidas and Reebok Grassroots Director of Basketball of Operations, Chris Rivers, has been very impactful to the basketball industry and culture over the past two plus decades. For almost (30) years, Rivers has been very influential in the development of grassroots basketball across the country, and also working closely with basketball aficionado Sonny Vaccaro for many years. Rivers now travels the country and speaks to parents, players, coaches and teams about leadership and self development - a very much needed aspect of today's developing basketball culture.
Chris Rivers will be featured at this year's Arizona Preps Fall Showcase for parents, players, coaches and all spectators throughout the event in several breakout sessions on the day. Rivers RAPP is an awesome addition to this year's programming for the Fall Showcase, as Rivers will provide very valuable insight that can only be received from someone with such amazing experience in helping build and develop the American basketball culture. River's RAPP is an invaluable resource for parents and players, and all those involved in the discussion - looking to gain the resources to help navigate today's very difficult recruiting and overall basketball landscape.
Rivers has transitioned over the years, since operating one of the most powerful sports franchises in the sport of basketball. Rivers has served in numerous roles throughout his illustrious career, and has been very influential in helping shoe companies, such as Adidas and Reebok, develop and cultivate thousands of intimate relationships with today's top performing basketball athletes and prospects. Since leaving Adidas several years ago, Rivers has found a new vision and focus for himself, in which he looks to create a much more impactful and positive approach to helping today's student-athletes.
Today, Rivers now hold many hats, but holds a position with Excel Sports, as the Director for their NIL Division. Excel Sports is one of the top sports management companies in the business.
Rivers is on a mission to speak to as many teams, players and student-athletes from different sports, about the recruiting process and the pitfalls that can come with the process. Rivers provides valuable insight into the industry and highlights the value of hard work and being true to your self and your goals, while remaining humble. Rivers has worked with thousands of top-rated athletes over his 30+ year career, and the insight he provides, while high-level, Rivers is able to relate the fundamentals of the process to everyone of today's athletes - meeting each athlete where they are at mentally.
Rivers could certainly give his time to other endeavors, but he has chosen to give back - utilizing his year's of experiences and knowledge to impact lives across America.
