Over the past year, our experienced and dedicated staff of scouts have covered a lot of high school games within the state and abroad, and, as a result, we have released our Final Arizona Preps Player Rankings for boys basketball in the state of Arizona. We have compiled our list of player rankings for each class of high school prospects in the state - 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Classes. These player rankings will be released on each of our Arizona Preps' social media outlets, and also sent out to hundreds of men college basketball programs across the country.

We continue the release of our Spring Player Rankings (Rankings will be updated during the Summer and the Fall seasons) with our NEW Individual Player Rankings for the 2023 Class. There are many uncommitted prospects in this group, and a few prospects that are already off the board. This list includes many prospects that will have high levels of interest from college programs.

This sophomore class is absolutely loaded with some top-rated college prospects for college programs, with numerous high-major division-I prospects as part of the list. This class of players is also absolutely long in talent, and it was very difficult to come up with our list of prospects in the class. There are simply many college prospects that have demonstrated an ability to play some level of college basketball.

Our NEW Player Rankings for the 2023 Class are led by a number of elite prospects in the class. Each of these three young men are elite-level talents and are considered among the nation's elite prospects by ESPN. Each of these young men have very bright futures ahead of them.

Our top spot in the class goes to St. Mary's High School's star 6-foot-4 senior guard Jason Fontenet. Fontenet is coming off a terrific sophomore season where he led the Knights to the state championship this past season. He has carried over his strong play this spring, as he has led his Arizona Firestorm team to several strong finishes already this season. Fontenet is a big-time talent with serious high -major potential for the future. While he has yet to receive a large number of high-major division-I offers for himself, they are on the horizon for him, as he definitely has the potential to become an elite-level prospect. Currently, Fontenet has offers from Washington State and Portland State.

Checking in at our #2 overall spot in the rankings is Perry High School's promising and rangy 6-foot-7 sophomore wing Cody Williams. Williams has teamed up this spring with Fontenet, and has made their duo one of the top young duos in America with the Firestorm program. Williams is the younger brother of Jalen Williams, a rising star in the collegiate ranks currently at Santa Clara University. Williams is a sure-fire talent for the future as well, and also possesses a host of Division-I offers for himself as well from such college programs as Pepperdine, Santa Clara, UC-Santa Barbara, Murray State and Portland State. Look for him to garner much more recruiting interest over time, as he continues to mature physically.

Checking in at our #3 spot is Higley High School's gifted 6-foot-3 sophomore guard Chuck Bailey. Bailey is coming off a terrific sophomore season for himself where he posted excellent numbers for himself - averaging 24.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per/game. As a result, Bailey has earned numerous offers for himself this spring from such college programs as Kansas, Illinois, UNLV, Ole Miss, Loyola Marymount and Detroit-Mercy. Bailey, a native of Detroit, Michigan, is now among the elite prospects in America's 2023 Class, and an excellent addition for Arizona's 2023 Class. He is a big-time prospect with a unique ability to score the basketball.

Checking in at our #4 spot is Mountain Pointe High School's talented and explosive 6-foot-4 sophomore guard Rooosevelt "Tru" Washington. Washington is a sure-fire talent for the future, and is impressive a prospect as there is in the class. This class is absolutely loaded with talented prospects and many different services have these rankings in different order. Washington is a big-time talent with a nice ability to score the basketball. He posted excellent numbers this high school season - averaging 21.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.2 steals per/game. Washington has the best overall college recruitment currently in the class, as he has been offered already by a large number of college programs - TCU, LSU, Georgia, Arizona State, UNLV, DePaul, Portland, Pepperdine, Nevada, IUPUI, UC-Santa Barbara and Portland State.

Checking at our #5 spot is Noah Amenhauser a rare 7-foot post in the state and in the West, especially for the 2023 Class. Amenhauser is a large post prospect with a lot of potential for the future, and loads of upside, as he is still growing a great deal. Amenhauser is one prospect that could move up in the these rankings over time, especially since there are not many posts around with his combination of size and ability to run the floor and finish. Our staff really like's this young man's potential and ability to develop, and, while he is not ranked among the top (3) overall prospects in the class, this young man still has the ability to become an elite-high major prospect. Currently, Amenhauser has an offer from UC-Santa Barbara on the table for himself.

Here are our complete Individual Player Rankings for the 2023 Class of boys prospects in the state of Arizona . . .
