Hillcrest Prep Academy 6-foot-5 terrific rising junior wing prospect Josh Green has had an amazing spring and summer for himself, now regarded as one of the elite prospects in America's 2019 class.  After receiving more than 20 division-I offers throughout the club season, and at one point receiving scholarship offers almost daily, Green received an offer this weekend from the University of Kansas and the Jayhawk staff.

It was just a matter of time for Green to receive an offer from head coach Bill Self and his experienced staff, after Green performed at a very high clip throughout the summer, and became one of the nation's hottest prospects.

Green is now the state's hottest prospect and one of the hottest prospects in America - also possessing scholarship offers from University of Arizona, UCLA, Cal, Oregon, Arizona State, Stanford, Texas A&M, USC, University of Washington, Oklahoma State, UNLV, Texas Tech, Texas Christian, Wake Forest, Marquette, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Utah State, UC-Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Georgia State, UT-Martin and Prairie View A&M, with many more schools looking to get involved this spring and summer.  Expect loads of more division-I offers for Green this high school season.

Fresh off a Grind Session national championship with Hillcrest Prep last season, Green picked up right where he left off, and had a terrific club season while taking part in the Under Armour Association's travel circuit with his club program Earl Watson Elite (CA).  In the events, Green played exceptionally well, averaging well over 20+ points per/game with a very talented group during the NCAA Evaluation period.

Josh Green also received a Top 25 national ranking among America's 2019 class by ESPN, and is one of the nation's hottest prospects currently - playing his best basketball of his young career.  Green has not indicated when he will make his college decision, but I don't expect it to come anytime soon, as he has so many options for himself and his family.  Look for Green to take his official visits and make a fall (2018) decision.

Green's older brother Jay Green is currently entering his freshman season at UNLV.

I will continue to follow the play and recruitment of Josh Green closely this fall and up-and-coming high school season, and bring you any updates as they continue to develop.

Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report:  Green is a high-level young athletic talent that possesses a live body and excellent body control in the open floor.  A very good slasher and finisher, Green is best while creating in the open floor and while slashing to the basket where he is an excellent finisher already.  He can finish either hand around the basket and also has a variety of floaters he uses when he faces bigger opposition in the paint.  A good shooter with range, Green has worked hard to stretch his ability to extend the floor - making him difficult to defend for opposing players.  He still needs to become more consistent from longer ranges.  An active rebounder and finisher that plays above the rim and is able to attack the basket with tenacity.  An excellent offensive rebounder.  Gets to the foul line quite often when he is in rhythm.  A very good on-the-ball defender that plays passing lanes and forces opponents to watch their passes, as he gets his hands on the basketball quite often.  Great in the open floor.  A good ball handler and passer but needs to continue to focus in these two areas of his game to maximize his potential as a college prospect.  A big time prospect and among the elite prospects in the country.
