The 2023 Pangos Premier 80 Showcase tipped-off the July Live Period on the West Coast earlier this month on July 6th at McBride HS (Long Beach CA), showcasing a group of approximately 80 top prospects nationwide representing 19 different states and drawing a substantial number of college coaches. Top scouts on-hand included Frank Burlison, Ronnie Flores, Devin Ugland and Paul Hernandez. BallerTV live-streamed all the games (with play-by-play) and are available 24/7 for replay at: https://www.ballertv.com/events/pangos-premier-80-showcase-2023
While there was a deep pool of quality prospects in the house this year (I counted at least 50-plus prospects that had short-term or long-term potential to be D1 prospects, below are 30 of the top players that stood out to me (in alphabetical order). In the upcoming and subsequent Part II of this event recap, I will note additional players worthy of being noted.
Trigonis Top 30
Ray Adams 6’7” 2024 North Thurston (Olympia WA)
One of the top revelations of the camp, Adams is a sleek swingman with a nice package of skills and athleticism. Time to buy 2024 stock in this NW Greyhounds star who has the versatility to be a multi-position 2-way player at the next level.

2023 Pangos All-American Camp invitee is one of nation’s most underrated high-academic (4.3 GPA) WGs that can finish through contact at rim as well as dial from deep. Here is an example of this Philippines U16 national team member’s ability to facilitate off ball-screen action: https://twitter.com/Trigonis30/status/1677179300741804032
Bishop Brooks 6’5” 2024 Taft (Woodland Hills CA)
I really like the overall game of Brooks – a strong, physical and athletic WG with nice size and the versatile skill package to make an impact at the next level. ICAN All-Stars standout was also impressive at the subsequent Pangos Summer Sweet 16.
Christian Collins 6’7” 2026 St. Bernard’s (Playa del Rey CA)
Young forward brimming with excellent long-term potential is the son of once heralded SoCal HS star DeAngelo Collins (Inglewood HS/CA). Collins is a quick and athletic F with growing confidence and a name West Coast HMs should monitor.

Quicky and crafty lead guard can score points in bunches. Figures to be a core piece of Grant Rice’s Gael squad next season as BG seeks to rebuild.
Devin Johnson 6’5” 2024 St. John’s Catholic Prep (Buckeystown MD)
Johnson made the trip out West and (like the Pangos Terrific 24 last April) did not disappoint. Wiry strong WG with legit perimeter stroke can put points on the board. DMV sleeper is an an excellent student (3.7 GPA) worth giving a long look at.

Sean Oliver 6’7” 2024 Future College Prep (Los Angeles CA)
Oliver is a strong and explosive hybrid-F with a nice mid-range game. Best player out of Long Beach Wilson HS since Mike Wilder (UC-Irvine guard/currently UCI assistant) will spend a post-grad year in 23-24.
Will Overton 6’7” 2024 Village Christian (Sun Valley CA)
One of SoCal’s top rising senior sleepers is a skilled combo-forward who has improved substantially over the past year. Overton can finish around the rim as well as spot-up from range that extends to 17 feet.
Kyree Polk 6’10” 2024 Vista Peak (Aurora CO)

Kendyl Sanders 6’7” 2024 St. Bernard’s (Playa del Rey CA)
2023 Pangos All-American Camp invitee (selected by media to Top 60 Game there) is a versatile, multi-positional player that is a late-blooming rising senior prospect. Sanders has missed or been less than 100% healthy in recent June and July live-period events due to knee soreness and tendinitis (dad Yamen Sanders is 6-9 and played at USC for George Raveling). Sanders received a Spring offer from UC-Santa Barbara and appears healthy enough to be on display this week at the NCAA College Basketball Academy in Memphis TN. Poised to be Tony Bland’s go to guy this season at St. Bernard: Here’s an example of his ability to push the rock and get to the rim in the open floor (and finish with either hand): https://twitter.com/Trigonis30/status/1677374611015729152

CJ Shaw 6’4” 2025 Mojave (Las Vegas NV)
Fresh off a terrific Section 7 AZ effort in late June with his Mojave/Las Vegas NV team, Shaw showed here why he is rapidly earning value as a top national prospect. High-scoring young lead guard can get buckets at a high rate and is nowhere close to peaking physically yet. Shaw has early offers from UNLV and Southern Utah.
Dallas Washington 6’9” 2025 Santa Margarita (CA)
One of the most intriguing members of Cali’s 2025 class is Dallas. Son of Bay Area Ballers founder Nelson Washington, he has terrific length to go along with a nice skill package that together with hard work, projects favorable long-term. Good student (3.2 GPA) has early offers from Washington State, Pepperdine and Montana.
