Our Arizona Preps' staff traveled to the state of California last weekend to cover (3) of the (5) different club events being held during the NCAA Evaluation Period. Arizona Preps' staff writer Sam Cullen covered last weekend's Pangos Sweet 16 event at the MAP Facility in Los Angeles, CA.

Quantum Elite traveled to California and showed excellent energy as a team and played with pride and passion - finishing the weekend with a 3-1 record in the Pangos Sweet 16 (17U Platinum Division). Quantum Elite won the Consolation Championship easily over the Cali Stars (CA), 71-60. Quantum Elite was led by a fun and talented group of young players. Here are some player evaluations given by Cullen of some of the Quantum Elite's top prospects . . .

Leonard Romayor Jr 5-10 2023 Class Ironwood High School PG - Romayor is a fast and quick point guard prospect that sees the floor well. He plays fast on both ends of the floor. He also has an impressive 40-inch vertical. He plays aggressive and is a strong finisher in the paint. Has a good mid-range game, makes good play-making reads. Has a lot of energy, is athletic and is highly coachable with strong handles. Also a hard-nosed defender on the ball.

Paul Oscislawski 6-4 2023 Chaparral High School CG - Oscislawski is a tough, hard-nosed guard prospect that competes hard on both ends of the floor, and has good size as a combo-guard. He is a strong competitor that is physical and has excellent toughness. A good shooter of the basketball with range. A strong driver of the basketball and a strong finisher. Has upside. Strong rebounder. Excellent student with a 4.5 CUM GPA.

Jack Treasure 6-3 2023 Pinnacle High School CG - Treasure is very vocal, has a football body and scores in transition with his speed. Very athletic and tough in the paint with a very good skill level. He can create for others and shoot the ball with range.

Jayden Crawford 6-1 2023 Ironwood High School - Crawford plays very physical on D, takes charges and can guard the 1 or 2 with his long arms. Hustles and is very coachable. Hits shots and can attack the rim. Plays with good intensity.

Michael Saba 6-8 2022 Chaparral High School Forward (Scored 29 ACT) - Saba can shoot the basketball, and has a nice basketball IQ with strong fundamentals. He plays physical, rebounds his butt off, and he’s got a few moves to score in the post. Has good athleticism and a mean motor. He scores off the pick and roll.

Michael Rafko 6-5 2022 CG (4.5 GPA) - Rafko is athletic, skilled and always goes hard. He has an ability to use his skill to finish at the rim in transition. Has a great motor. He can shoot the pull up jump-shot, and has a good handle of the ball.

Each of these young prospects have the potential to play college ball. A really nice weekend by Quantum Elite.
