Arizona Preps' staff member, father, friend and coach Gary Thompkins (pictured left) recently lost his life after suffering a massive heart attack. As a result, a memorial has been scheduled for Gary at Cortez High School, where he was recently an assistant coach for the varsity basketball team.
The memorial to celebrate the life of Gary Thompkins will be held today on Thursday, September 15th at Cortez HS from 6PM to 8:30PM. We are asking that everyone in the basketball community please come out to celebrate the life of a man that gave himself to Arizona basketball.
Thompkins (pictured left) was the wonderful father of Sammy Thompkins and Zeke Thompkins, both gifted local basketball prospects. Thompkins was an amazing father and a friend to the entire basketball community in the state of Arizona.
