Casa Grande 's talented 5-foot-9 senior combo-guard prospect Jeylynn Fields is having, what is becoming, a superb high school career for herself.  As a result of the talented guard prospect's performance, she is now beginning to garner some serious recruiting attention.  While division-I college basketball programs have yet to take notice of Fields, one of the nation's premier women's junior college program has extended a scholarship offer to the talented guard prospect.

This week, Fields received a scholarship offer, her first, from Central Arizona Junior College and head coach Denise Cardenas. Central Arizona is a 4-time national championship women's basketball program, and the class of the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC).

Among the elite sleeper prospects in the state, Fields has soared well below the recruiting radar for sometime.  After putting up impressive overall numbers last high school season and while being a relatively unknown prospect in the state, Fields has returned this season to lead Casa Grande to a strong 14-7 overall record in the state's Division-II Class.

After putting up impressive overall numbers last high school season, Fields has returned this season to put up impressive overall numbers - averaging team highs of 23 points and 5.1 assists per/game.

While being a relatively unknown prospect in the state and among the elite sleeper prospects in the state, Fields has soared well below the recruiting radar throughout her high school career.  Look for Fields to begin to garner much more recruiting interest as the high school season continues to progress.

Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report:  Fields is a big-time talent that is very skilled and has very good overall toughness as a player.  She is a heady point guard prospect that is capable of playing both guard positions on the floor, as a result of her ability to handle the basketball and make plays off the dribble for herself or others.  She is a deadly penetrator with the basketball in her hands, and is capable of scoring the basketball at a high rate.  She is best off the dribble when she can put pressure on opposing defenses and get into the lane.  She is a good finisher and also has a nice mid-range game for herself.  Fields is a good shooter with range on her shot, which makes her tough to defend off the dribble.  She is an excellent ball handler and passer and sees the floor very well.  Her best attribute is her ability to defend opposing guards, and her overall toughness as a player on the basketball court.  She has superior quickness and her quick feet allow her to be very active on the floor.  She is also an excellent rebounder for her size – possibly the best rebounding guard in the state.
