After a period of time where his college recruitment began to slow down, his college recruitment has now picked up a great deal again as of late, as Corona Del Sol High School's superstar 6-foot-2 rising senior guard Alex Barcello has began to pick up numerous scholarship offers as of late.
After recently receiving offers from Butler, Georgia Tech and Tulane University, today Barcello picked up another offer from Baylor University.
Barcello is already among the highest recruited 2017 guards in the country, possessing a large number of offers already from the University of Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Creighton, DePaul, Grand Canyon, Marquette, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Providence, Auburn, St. Mary's (CA), Stanford, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington State.
Barcello has still not named any leaders at this point in his college recruitment, but he has indicated in the past that he really wants to play for a college program that will be honest and straight up with him, and where he has a great relationship with the head coach.
Barcello is currently traveling with the highly acclaimed and heavily Nike-sponsored Oakland Soldiers. He had a good spring performance with the program, and will also look to finish out the summer recruiting month of July with the team.
We will continue to follow the progress and college recruitment of Barcello closely this summer, as he continues to build recruiting steam this July.
