As we prepare for the new 2022-2023 high school basketball season, Arizona Preps will release our new individual player rankings for the 2023, 2024 and 2025 Classes, beginning this weekend. We will release our Top 25 overall rankings for each class with our "Super 25" for each of the classes. There have been some changes to our last rankings, as some prospects have moved up in our new rankings, and others may have went in the other direction. Our "Super 25" format will look different from our previous player rankings by position, but will be much more impactful for college coaches that subscribe to our scouting service to identify the best prospects to recruit for their respective college programs.
There are also some new faces that have moved to the state of Arizona through the prep school ranks. Our player rankings for each class will include the top overall prospects from prep schools, high schools and charter schools - all in one ranking order.
Top-rated prospects in each class helped themselves in our new rankings with strong performances throughout the spring and summer evaluation periods, while some others emerged throughout the process and now are in the conversation for much higher college recruitment. Either way, these rankings have no guarantees for an individual player's recruitment, as there are only so many college scholarships or recruiting opportunities available, but these rankings can have an impact. For some committed prospects, these rankings could solidify their standing in the class, while for many others that are uncommitted, it could put a stamp of approval for a prospect that a college program is considering.
We look forward to bringing you our new rankings for each of these classes. Stay tuned.
