A Letter From Our Senior Editor – Happy Veterans Day

First of all, let me start by wishing all of our nation's wonderful veterans a Happy Veterans Day.  We are so blessed to have our freedoms as a result of so many wonderful men and women who have put their lives on the line for us, and I want to honor and show my gratitude and respect for our men and women who serve.

Recently, our staff held our amazing 15th Annual Arizona Preps Fall Showcase, and this year's event was one of the very best events of the long and illustrious series.  With so many of these events taking place in fine fashion over the years, it is very hard to determine which year's event was the best, but this year's event made a strong case as many of the very best prospects in the state competed with one another.  I am very thankful to each of the boys and girls high school basketball players that supported this year's event, once again, and made it another huge success.

As a result of each of these wonderful student-athletes that participated in this year's event and to the parents of these Arizona prospects, I will personally be attending a high school varsity basketball game of each of the participants from this year's event this high school basketball season.  While I will inevitably be attending games this season of other top-rated prospects in the state that did not participate, I will make sure to attend atleast one game of each participant from this year's Fall Showcase.  This will help to show my support of each of the players that played in the event, while I will also write something on each Showcase participant as well after attending their game.

Thank you to so many in the state of Arizona that have supported me over the past 18 years (since 1995), and especially with this Arizona Preps website over the past 14 years (since 1999).  Thanks to your support, my organization is much better because of your support, while many Arizona student-athletes have earned college scholarships as a result.

My Arizona Preps staff has worked very hard as well over the years.  I am very grateful to have each of you on my team, while I continue to work day and night to promote and evaluate Arizona's best basketball talent.

As we now prepare to move into 2014, I will be pursuing several new endeavors that will help to make the state of Arizona a much better and more productive basketball state.  Stay tuned.
