AZ Compass Prep is absolutely loaded again this season, and the recent commitments by the program are proving just how good they really are. The program this season is highlighted by the play of several top-rated guard prospects - "The House Twins," senior guards Kaden (Maryland commit) and Kalek House (Xavier commit) and 6-foot-4 unsigned senior guard Quincy Wadley. While Wadley remains uncommitted, both House Twins have now made their college decisions. While it was believed that the House Twins might decide to go to the same college, they have instead chosen to go to their own respective college programs. First, Kalek House chose Xavier, and now Kaden has elected to sign with the University of Maryland and new Head Coach Buzz Williams (pictured).
Kaden House is one of the elite scorers of the basketball in the country, and has been consistently throughout his high school career. This is a big landing by the Maryland basketball program, as House should be an immediate star performer in the collegiate ranks. Kaden is coming off another exceptional spring and summer performance, where he elected to play on the Puma circuit, and was one of the elite prospects for Puma's NXTPRO circuit.
Kaden is also coming off an excellent junior season for AZ Compass Prep, and will look to have an even bigger senior season for his prep program. He posted ridiculous numbers in his two seasons of AIA basketball at Desert Mountain High School - averaging for his career, 25.1 points, 3.3 assists, 8.5 rebounds and 3.4 steals per/game. Kaden also had a career-high of 46 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Willow Canyon High School as a mere freshman.
Kaden is currently ranked nationally as the #47 overall prospect in America's 2026 Class by ESPN, a tremendous honor for one of the state's elite prospects. House is a stat-sheet stuffer, as a result of the level of intensity that he plays with. He is a serious competitor that plays much harder and is mentally tougher than almost anyone that he comes against. As a result, he is simply on another level than his competition, resulting in House becoming one of the elite 2026 prospects in the country.
Congratulations to Kaden House again on this amazing accomplishment and decision, as well as the AZ Compass Prep program on another big signing from their program.
