Shadow Ridge High School's talented 2020 prospect, 6-foot-8 rising sophomore forward Anthony Garza is among the most talented and gfted prospects in Arizona. This season will be a tremendous breakout season for Garza, as he will have the opportunity to maximize his potential as a player at Shadow Ridge High School. I have been very impressed with Garza each time that I have seen him perform recently, and have been very impressed with Garza's ability to play the game at a high level.
I believe Garza is a big time talent for the future, and he is definitely someone that needs to be ranked higher in our up-and-coming new rankings, and also is worthy of serious attention for the future from college programs. Garza will play this season as a sophomore and will have an opportunity to make a name for himself. I look for him to be a household name in the future - over time.
I recently observed Anthony Garza while playing in this year's TR3 Hoop Summit last weekend, and I was very impressed with Garza's ability to play the game and his development as a player and a prospect. Garza has excellent length and heigth for the future. I look for him to make a splash this high school season, as there are very few prospects that have a combination of his size and length and overall skillset. Garza is a nice, superb talent for the future and has a chance to become a special player with continued hard work.
Look for Garza to develop nicely throughout his high school career, and become a unique talent in the 2020 class.
Arizona Hoop Revie Scouting Report: Garza continues to improve a great deal each time I see him play, and I am convinced that this young man will become a serious division-I prospect over the next two years, and will be a highly sought after recruiting target over time. Garza has played well every time I have seen him and seems to improve each time. He has a unique combination of size, length and a nice overall skillset. He also has a unique ability to block and change shots, rebound outside of his area and finish plays at the rim. He is very mobile and possesses a long, rangy body, which allows him to make plays at a high level. He still needs to develop physically, but the upside is glaring. A good shooter with range. A good ball handler and passer - fundamentally sound. Runs the floor well. Has excellent potential for the future.
