With so many scholarship offers pouring in for Arizona prospects recently, Pinnacle High School's skilled 6-foot-4 sophomore guard Jordan Mains has received his first scholarship offer from a program in the Big Sky Conference.

This week Mains received a scholarship offer from the University of Northern Colorado, as a result of his play during the NCAA spring evaluation period.  Mains played for the Arizona Power Black 16U team, one of the most talented teams of it's kind in the state.

College programs are smart to get involved with Mains early, as Mains is a very skilled and sharp-shooting guard prospect that still has a lot of upside as a player and has the potential to become an excellent basketball player over time.  He could grow to be 6-8 in heigth with a superb offensive skillset/repetoire for himself.  As a result, I look for many more college programs to look to get involved with Mains over time.  Look for many more scholarship offers to come his way over the next two years of high school.

Mains comes from a basketball family, and is the younger brother of Pinnacle HS graduate Nik Mains.

I will be following the recruitment and development of Mains closely, and will bring you updates on him as he continues to develop.

Arizona Hoop Review Scouting Report:  Mains is a very skilled and sharp-shooting guard prospect that still has a lot of upside as a player and has the potential to become an excellent basketball player over time. He has the potential to grow to 6-8 in heigth.  A fundamentally sound prospect with an ability to stretch the defense from almost anywhere on the floor.  He has a nice ability to catch-and-shoot the basketball with unlimited range.  He is a good ball handler and passer, and has very good versatility as a player - capable of playing several positions on the floor.  A good defender that plays passing lanes and also plays with excellent energy on the court.  An active rebounder that competes on both ends of the floor.  He will need to continue to focus defensively and on rebounding though over time to maximize his potential as a player.  An excellent shooting guard prospect with excellent potnetial for the future.
